I was walking along a river bank and I saw infant in a basket..........

i saw a infant in a basket. he was looking at me with his beautiful eyes like he wanted me to take him home. i did a little i felt bad about leaving a little child all alone by himself.  but who could leave him here rather than a orphanage...so without thinking i picked the basket up a took him home with me..
"mom!!mom!"i shouted.
"yes dear what happen why are shouting" mom said.
"look what i found "i said. 
"ohh my...!" she cried. "where did u find this?" she asked curiously.
"by the river bank he was all alone there.. so i picked him up" i answered. 
"good good...but who could've do this who's child is he"she asked.
"i don't know but can we keep him"i asked. "no" she said. we have to tell police they'll take care of it " but yes u may for today ok" she said.
"ohh thank u mommy!" i exclaimed. 
i played with him i did everything i loved how he laughed and his cute little hands. but the day was soon over it felt like we were brother's and sister.  in the morning police came they said they'll take care of it. "no mommy i want to keep him plss!" i asked disappointedly. 
"but why " she ASKED . "i love him he's like my little brother  plss ohh plss mommy i love u plss " i begged.  
after  a long pause she said " hmm fine we may but you should be more responsible ok" 
"ohh yes mommy i will be i love u!" i gave her a big hug.

"black bird singing in the middle of the night" at night i sang a lullaby everyday.
