Explanation:
One of the best things about the monsoons is the sound of the rains and the fresh lively aftermath of the rains. The picture of something new, washed afresh is a sight to see right after the rain falls.
One day, as usual, I was enjoying the rains, watching it fall from my balcony and having my tea when I heard something that was out of the ordinary. There were some sort of crying coming from the backside of our house. Hoping that it wasn't anything serious, I went to check it out when to my surprise, I saw a litter of puppies yapping about in the rain. The surprising thing was they were standing in circle around the dead body of most presumably their mother. I just couldn't leave them alone, that too in the rain so I went down and took them in. They seemed to be about two or three months old, and were all drenched. I dried them and fed them milk, and then waited for my parents to return so that I may ask them if I can keep the dogs as my own.
When they returned, my mom was skeptical about raising five puppies at once but my dad helped me in convincing her. That one lucky monsoon evening led to my possession of these sweet puppies.
