I’m face to face with my worst nightmare. I can feel his hot breath on my cheeks, burning as he exhales. His eyes are watching, I try to run but he holds me back hissing his pit into my eyes, it burns, with fuming rage I spit back at him. His eyes turn a fierce red, and at that exact moment I knew he was ready to kill me. He brings his hands around to my face, touching my burns cooling them with the coolness of his hands. I hear a rustle in the bushes. My aggressor gets distracted and quickly turns to face the bush. I know that if I was to ever have a chance of escaping it would be now. Quickly without thinking I turn around and his tight clutches on me break, but before I take my first step I feel the monsters cold, rough hands tighten around my stomach to pull me back, I aggressively kick and throw my arms around trying to break loose from his tight pulling, determined to break free I throw my whole body forwards lunging myself to the ground. I pick myself up and run. I RUN FROM MY WORST NIGHTMARE...
I can feel the ground shaking as he runs, coming closer with every step. Gasping for breath, I keep running, pushing myself further and further through the forest. Vines grab at my feet and branches scratch at my face slowing me down, but I don’t stop. My head pounds, my feet ache. This is not how I imagined death to be. I collapse to the ground. Everything is black, I can hear my heart rapidly beating, and the fast thuds of the monsters feet on the ground have disappeared. I can’t move any part of my body without cringing in pain. I can’t imagine a more slow and painful death that this one.
