Answer:
Self-control is certainly not a new kid on the block in psychology. It’s been around for a while, but it continues to enchant scientists. Time and again, it proves to be a true star—it brings many benefits to those who can successfully practice it.
Explanation:
Study after study confirms that if we just find the way to strengthen our self-control, our lives will become so much better—we’ll eat healthier, exercise, won’t overspend, overdrink or overdo anything that’s bad for us. We will be able to achieve our goals much easier. Success will not be a distant chimera anymore.
Simply put, if you know how to control your temptations, emotions and behaviors, “the world’s mine oyster,” as Shakespeare told us many years ago.
Self-control is the key to happiness:
Yes, self-control leads to true happiness through in the beginning it is hard and bitter. Once if we find self-control, nothing can stop us to be happy in our life. The biggest profit of having self-control is that we get rid of the desires which lead us to the path of distraction. If we do not have self-control, it means our ”id” is still active and overpowers our ego and superego.
Now due to this, we become unable to stop ourselves from being a slave of desire and physical comfort. Actually desires never ends and they lead us to a path of never-ending negativity and sorrow. We always think that our desires are not getting fulfilled. Now, this feeling doesn’t let us live as a happy being. We can get rid of all these problems once we have self-control.
In a family, the father of two kids was addicted to bad habits which makes the family often drown into sadness and fights. After a long struggle, the father decide to self-control himself against the bad habits which lead the family in the path of happiness though the beginnings were hard and bitter.
