- The Earth we live in is the only life-supporting planet in the solar system. Even before the birth of humans and other living organisms, plants had their own place here. Even now amidst all the natural and man-made calamities, the forest cover of the entire world is about 31%.
- These are not just green miracles but are life saviors. These plants which take in carbon-di-oxide during the day time acts as a natural sink, thereby absorbing harmful emissions made by humans. Each forest has its own flora and fauna, which helps in maintaining a natural balance on this planet.
- Off late, man-made emissions have almost destroyed these green covers. Activities like urbanization, Industrialisation, and mass migration have hampered the forest system and they are extremely vulnerable now. this has led to toxic greenhouse gases destroying the Ozone layer of the earth, thus leading to climate change and global warming.
- Let's act sensibly. organizations like the UN has come up with programs to save the ecosystem to the environment. It's our duty now to protect these forest covers and foster them for our better living conditions.
