hlo mate ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Well, Breno my answer does have a bit of religion it.
I believe that most “humanoid” robots are created in that form because we are trying to mimic human activity. Otherwise the robots could look like a dog and still respond like a human, but that wouldn’t be readily acceptable. I also think that many people who do this, manufacture humanoid robots do so as a suppressed “creator” complex. God said let us make man in my image and we are doing the exact same thing. I would wager that many developers would argue that point, but why else would they insist on it?
I personally find it extremely creepy to manufacture something that looks like something it isn’t and give it abilities that are normally reserved for humans. More creepy that some people in this world treat such machines as if they are actual humans and suggest they receive human like responses in return. To take this to it’s lowest common denominator, if someone wants a “sex” doll to satisfy their urges and want that doll to as human like as possible, so be it. But, when you actually “marry” a sex doll or introduce it to the public as your significant other, “harmless” as it may be, it does not fit the norm of common sense.
Now, I’m certain I have offended at least one reader, but I will say that I understand rejection and bullying quite well as having been a victim of such, but there are limits to what can be acceptable. One small example is that I saw a short video of someone interviewing a developer who had a feminine robot beside him and he was demonstrating the Turing test in which the robot gave rational answers. The developer let slip a statement that the robot should destroy humans and the responded in the affirmative. Needless to say the developer was not happy with that and the interviewer latched right on to it. This is one of the of the problems with AI, just how fast can you convince the AI that what you asked for was a mistake and just what protocols are going to be put in place to avoid such misunderstandings?
But, I digress. Like I said to your question I think people do it so they can feel a bit “God-like” other wise, the robot could be an ambulatory box on wheels and still do the same job.

To have a robot gardener was a special privilege , but what my mom forgot was that it can't distinguish between what's right or wrong and she shouldn't expect any human like response from a robot.
Rocky (as my mom called him) was first and newest humonoid robot . His actual name was Roc-51 and for a reason she adressed him "Rocky'. Mom seemed to be very fond of her new humonoid robot.
Today , life seems to be standstill without these helping robots but for me ,I have never been fond of robots . My mom and dad were very busy people and consequently, they rarely spent time with me. But still one thing always kept me amazed in my lonely home was my sweet garden and wanted to preserve it from Rocky . I somehow knew from the very first day that something was wrong with him and we shouldn't keep him as our gardener..
I suggested my mom to test him for garden was the only place I liked about this place.
"no honey , I can't cuz nbody has time to look after your garden . as you can see I and your father can hardly spare time to spend with you . and don't you worry , everything will be fine." said mom with her soft vice that seemed to relieve me.
But , I still couldn't trust him
AND one day, when i came back from school ,i couldn't believe my eyes...
I was about to burst into tears as I saw something that my eyes didn't like at all.
My garden was ruined .....
newly planted flowerbed was trampled and flower pots were broken and scattered . I was a young girl and started crying and shouting out surprise and anger.
My place was totally destroyed and my mom was to be blamed.
I cried the whole day until my mom and dad arrived but didn't dare to ask as she knew ehat had happened .
Rocky was found thoroughly destroyed in the back yard .
