Two Friends and a Bag of Gold
Once, two friends left their village for a city to find some job. On their way they had to pass through a dense forest. When they were only half way through the forest, they saw a glittering object at some distance. They rushed and picked it up. It was a golden bag with a lot of gold stuffed in it.
They were overjoyed at this stroke of good luck. As they were quite exhausted and hungry, they decided not to travel further.
They agreed that first they would eat and then divide the gold equally among themselves. Someone of the friend's went to a nearby village to buy some food while the other lay down under the shade of trees.
On the way to the village, the friend started dreaming of getting all the gold himself. So greed compelled him to poison the food and kill his friend.
On the other hand, the other friend was also making similar plans. When the friend came back with the food, he fell on him with his knives and killed him then and there. Then , he sat down to eat the poisoned food. He was hungry. He ate heartily. The poison did its work and soon he was lying dead with the bag of gold coins mocking them for their greed and ill will.
