A suspense story written by Victor Canning.
In this story writer had showed about the honour among thieves. There was a man named Horace Danby who was good but not completely honest. He was a respectful citizen as he was having a business of locks. He was having a great interests in books and habit of collecting rare books. Once a year he used rob a house for rare and expensive books. This year again he tried to rob a house. But this time a lady pretending to be the owner scolded him and use him to take out the jewels from the safe.
Actually the lady was the thief and played with Horace. Horace got
scolded after two days. And became the librarian in the prison.
It was an amazing and interesting story. I would suggest you should read this story.
