Mrs. Pumphrey said that she won't be able to ever thank him for what he had done and also, that his surgery had been successful as Tricki was now cured.
Answer:
James Alfred Wight, often known as James Herriot, was a well-known British author and veterinary physician. This story, A Triumph of Surgery, was written by him. The tale opens with Mrs. Pumphrey, a wealthy woman, walking her dog Tricky outside. A local veterinarian who spotted the dog was shocked because it resembled a bloated sausage with legs at each end. Then He instructed her to cease feeding him. Mrs. Pumphrey, however, is unable to reject the dog. Tricky soon became ill, and an ambulance was called. Even though Mr. Herriot, the narrator, is aware that Mrs. Pumphrey will never leave Tricki alone, he manages to bring the dog to his hospital for treatment. He brought the dog and provided a bed for him in the operating room. Dog didn't move around much for two days and didn't eat much either. He started playing with the larger dogs when he went outside on the third day. In order to consume the leftover food, he even licked the bowls of other dogs.
His condition quickly began to get better. He also began competing with other dogs for food. Mrs. Pumphrey began sending eggs to the hospital as soon as she learned this information since she believed Tricki would require energy foods following his recuperation. Additionally, Mrs. Pumphrey started delivering wine in bottles to Trick to help with his blood. But once more, Mr. Herriot ate those. Additionally, when she began sending brandy in bottles, they also drank it. After a few days, the doctor made the correct choice to telephone Mrs. Pumphrey, who was quite concerned, to arrange for the return of Tricki to her home. Tricki leaped inside the car after seeing his mistress with great joy. She also stated that Tricki had recovered from his surgery and was now cured.
