Answer:

What we say that we become

Raj wished to be a champion footballer; but his poor parents could not get him admitted in any football academy. The beauty of life lies in the fact that all great men and women were seldom from affluent families. The story of success begins with challenges. So Raj’s story began with obstacles and challenges.

In spite of being poor, Raj was a determined and strong guy. There was a power in him that always egged him on to do his best. Raj believed in positive self-talk. He would often say to himself, “I will become a great footballer.” He would stand on his roof-top and see the players practice maneuvers in the ground. Once a football came flying into his house from the academy; and fortunately no one came to claim it. Raj kept the football and in his small lawn, he would practice all the skills and moves he had seen the players in the academy practice. This went on for many months.

As a result of Raj’s passion and positive self-talk, he learnt to control football with miraculous skills. People would often wonder at his dribbling, kicking, and other skills. Once he was dribbling with his football on the roof-top. He did not let the ball fall for many minutes. The coach in the academy was watching all the while. He got impressed with Raj’s skills. He called him and asked him to come to the academy ground. He said to him, ‘Will you play the practice match tomorrow?’

‘Of course’, replied Raj, ‘I would love to.’

Raj scored a hattrick in the practice match leading to the win of his side. The coach got further impressed with him. He decided to include him in the team that was to play a crucial match against the most famous team of the city.

Raj also scored a hattrick in that match. The sponsors were attracted towards him; they hired him. Raj became a huge sensation. He became the number one player of his country. Thus from scratch he inked his own success story. His positive self-talk played a great role in making him a great footballer.

Moral: We become what we say to ourselves.

Story on "what we say, we become".

Explanation:

Once there was a beggar who believed in making his own destiny. Even with his poor stature and condition in life, he has a positive attitude and would always greet anyone willing enough to approach him with a smile. He did not hesitate to help the poor, even though he himself is also poor. Despite his condition, he did not get angry at anyone and maintains that he will be a richer person then he was at that time.

One day, while sitting in his usual spot under the metro station, he was approached by an old man who seemingly seemed disturbed and in great distress. He wanted 100 rupees for his fare and said that he had lost his wallet. the poor beggar took the money he had saved for himself and gave the old man the required amount, which left him with just 5 rupees for his own food. But when the old man protested, he said "I already know what hunger felt like and I can endure it for a single day. But you seem to be in need of that money more than I am". The old man was so touched and went along his way, promising him he will surely repay him back.

But the beggar never encountered the old man again. After more than a month, the same old man turned up with his car and told the beggar to come with him. Turns out he was a businessman and had indeed lost his ride and wallet that day. And due to the help from the beggar, he was able to get home safe. He thanked the beggar and adopted him as his own son, giving him education and a home. The young beggar had finally realized his dream of becoming richer than he was.
