Story Time
Harpreet was a charming girl, but at the age of 12 she had put on weight and was
quite plump. Her classmates teased her constantly. Most of the remarks were good-
natured, but Harpreet became
very self-conscious. Soon
Soon she
began to hate the way she looked.
This made her so miserable that
she went on a near starvation diet.
She wouldn't listen to her parents
when they told her that this was
very dangerous for her health. She
lost weight fast, but she felt very
tired and depressed. She shouted
at everyone at home. She could
not concentrate on her studies.
One day she fainted and had to be
rushed to the hospital.
