Rani, on her way home, saw her friend sitting in an isolated corner of a park. She went to her friend to ask her if everything was alright but as she reached near her she found out that her friend was crying.

Rani sat down by her friend and asked her what was wrong and for what reason was she crying. Her friend Riya didn't say anything but kept on sobbing. Rani couldn't take it and forcefully made Riya look at her and asked her why was she crying.

Priya told Rani that she had a fight with one of her friends and that friend said something bad about Riya which is the reason why she was crying. On this, Rani made Riya understand that we should never take the words of people to our heart. If people say something bad about you then you must let it pass but if people are praising you, then accept it as a reward.

Answer:

Story

Explanation:

Rani saw her friend Nitu sitting on bench in the park ,she was crying. Rani immediately went over to her and sat besides her. Nitu had been his best friend since childhood. He begged her to calm down and explain what had upset her so much. Nitu told him that she had been conned on the streets and that all the money her parents had given her for school fees was gone. She explained to him that she had been waiting for the school bus when she was approached by three smartly dressed young men and a  young woman.

Rani assured her that he would do his best to get her school fees back. He told her to act as normal for the remainder of the evening. After the class, Rani told her to accompany him to a small casino just outside the school. They entered the dinghy casino and sat at the bar. Rani explained to Nitu that the scammers always came to the casino to drink and to gamble.

He would win her school fees at the black jack table. Nitu was against the idea and she suggested that they should inform the police. Rani convinced her that he could win. Nitu ordered passion juice while Rani ordered for  mango juice.

They did not wait for long before the four scammers sauntered in the club like they owned the place and headed straight for the black jack table. They ordered for very expensive wine  and gin. Rani told Nitu to leave and she left without objections. He then joined the scammers at blackjack table.

Rani challenged them to a game and they accepted. He had been taught how to play the game since he was a boy by his father and brother. He had become so adept at playing the game that his father had allowed him to tag a long to a competition once.

Ran pretended that he had lost the first game. He wagered more money to bait the scammers. They fell for it as he knew they would. They upped their stakes and challenged him to several more games. Rani, would let them win a few games and then he would win several in a row. The scammers staked one thousand dollars for the final game.

People  in the casino had stopped playing and had become spectators  in the highly charged game. They could not believe that a schoolboy had beaten the reigning champion in several games. They were silently hoping that the boy would win the last game. With bated breath, they witnessed Rani winning the game easily and pocketing one thousand dollars. Cheers erupted in the whole casino and they lifted him up high. He had finally won and he was flabbergasted. Rani could not wait to give Nitu the good news. The scammers had  met their match.
