It was dark in the dungeon. Being ordered around everyday and then thrown into a dark cage was not an ideal life. He was a slave. A slave who ran away from his master. He ran and ran until he couldn't see the castle in sight. As he looked forward he saw nothing but a dense forest. It hit him, he didn't have anything to survive on or any idea on what he could do. A grumbling sound. He also hadn't eaten for days. It was only wise to go look for food. He walked down a trail dodging the branches and avoiding the rocks.

As he reached toward the end the trail he heard a roar. it wasn't a one that was meant to scare away but more of a roar of help. He walked towards the sound with fear in his heart. When he looked up he saw a lion crying for help. He rushed towards the scene and started to see what could be he reason this animal was in pain. He found a thorn in his paw. This slave tried taking out the paw as carefully as he could and succeeded. He took off after helping the lion and focused on surviving. After a few months, just when he had grown accustomed to this forest life, he was found by his master's men and bought back to the same castle he would never want to see again.

As a punishment for running away from his maser he is ordered to a death sentence. A one where he will be fed to a lion. His master orders his men to throw this slave to a hungry lion. And they do just that. Once he is taken to he forest the men run away after leaving him to the lion. He realised that this was the same lion he saved, but would the lion remember him? His thoughts were confirmed when the lion rushed and licked him all over his hands remembering the kindness. After this they both embark on a journey far away from this dreadful place as both he lion and the slave are free.
