He picked up the key and slipped in into his pocket, sure nobody had seen him. He found it in the alley as he was going to get lunch for himself. The key was not any house or vehicle key. It was weird looking key and resembled as if it was some treasure or locker key. This is what tempted him to put it in his pocket. He also had a second thought of giving it to the local police or put a notices somewhere in the street but he neglected it.
Then he saw a man looking confused and tensed. That man came up to him and asked him if he had seen a single key somewhere in the street. He first told him that he hadn't but when the man got in tears and told that it was his briefcase's key which had some important documents, he fell for him. He then smartly threw the key somewhere in the street and picked it up himself and said to him that he had found the key.
The man expressed him forever gratitude and even offered to give some money but he refused. He had realized that the happiness you get from helping others is a far greater reward. He also pledged that he would do anything like what he did in the first place.
