I was innocent but the police man thought I am the victim. The reality was that it was Jake who had done the plan but to my bad luck I was locked in the 4 walls of the most comfortable room for the thieves, the prison.
I still remember the incident when Kate,Jake,Aisha and me were once good friends in the college and I was the Class Monitor at that time. It was the day of results of the entrance exam. We all were very excited to know who was the last ranker as we last rank holders had a challenge and decide to reward the one who will be at the last rank of the entrance exam. So all were awaited to know and the results popped up. At the first position from the bottom was Aisha. I ranked 32nd from the top and Kate ranked 36th. As soon as Jake received his mark sheets he ran away from the campus. He was no where found at last Aisha, his best friend found him in the banks of the river Dale.
She convinced him that Failure is the first step towards Success. She even explained him that it is not necessary for him to be admission in the same college of ours.
Hearing to Aisha's words, Jake ran away and I didn't met him from years.
Aisha was very disappointed from Jake and she didn't score good in her exams and she was depressed and rested at home for an year.
In an year Kate and I became good friends, We used to eat popcorns together in the cinema hall. Kate wished to see his mother on his birthday. I prepared a surprise for him and called his mother somehow and made his day. To my surprise I found Aisha in the banks of river Dale and she was crying with tears. I asked her the reason she gave me the news that Jake was found in the City Hospital. He was going to jump from a building but was saved somehow and he is in comma for almost 3-4 months.
The news made me disappointed and made me feel that I should've exchanged seats from Jake and I should've studied for another year. But it was very late when I realized. I was not even ready to see Jake. Neither Kate wished to see him. Aisha was almost done with us and she wanted to leave a better life so she went to Jakarta to live her life.
Even we friends left the matter and moved on in our life. Years passed like a train and finally it was Kate's wedding. Kate was going to marry a tall-fair man of U.S.A whom she had a crush from some years,but never expressed this in front of me. But anyways it was the happiest moment for me. Kate was starting a new life with him. I attended the wedding which was in California from all the way from Canada. After the wedding I was walking down the Wimbledon street where I found a young bachelor with beard. He looked like a gangster but after some minutes I realized he was Jake by his talk.
I was so happy and I greeted him and asked " Jake where have you been for so many years?" He nicely replied "I was in my death bed when I found a assistant of God who lead me here." His words were strange but it didn't made any difference on me because he used to speak like that since our college days.
I was happy to meet my old friend and lived with him for a couple of days in a weird room. But it was fine as Friendship was more than anything for me. I didn't even informed Kate about it. Jake was really behaving strange but I made no differences as I needed him. One day He asked me that he wanted some money which was borrowed by him by Mr. William, the rich man of that area. He told me to bring that from Mr.William's purse which was lying on the table. I nodded and took out 20 Dollars from it. As I was going out of the room,Mr Williamson called the cops and handed me over him. I explained several times to the cops about Jake, But Jake said "I never said those words to him, Hes lying." Other friends of his supported him and finally handed me to the cops and now I am in the prison wondering if that person was really Jake or not.
