Sky:

The bent Old Woman was so angry, that she picked up her broom, and thwacked the Sky with it. ... Sneezing and coughing, thundering and raining, the Sky flew up, up and away – out of reach of the Old Woman's broom and swore never to come down again. So that is why the Sky is so high.

Sun:

There once was a moon, as beautiful as can be, only the stars could fathom, but the sun could not see. The sun so radiant, he burns so bright. ... And while the Sun could shine, he knew the Moon could glow.

Breezes:

One windy evening as I was alone in the house studying leaving the windows partially open and enjoying the cool breeze, suddenly I heard the door bell ringing. For a moment I thought, who could it be at this part of the evening? I walked over to look through the peep hole and found that it was the pizza delivery person who had been knocking on the wrong door, he had come to deliver Pizza to my neighbor.

Locking the door, I went up to the first and second floor to check the doors and windows were closed properly, as I did not want the house to be flooded incase it rained.

Trees:

Long, long ago, in a dense forest there were thousands of tall and beautiful trees. They were happy, but proud of themselves. Among them there also an ugly tree whose branches were badly twisted. Its roots had uneven curves. All the trees made fun of that ugly tree.

“How are you, hunchback?" the other trees always shouted and their laughter made the ugly tree feel sad. But, he never raised a voice against them. The ugly tree thought, “I wish I were as beautiful as the other trees. Why did God do this to me? Neither can I provide shade to the travelers not can the birds make their nests on me. Nobody needs me."

One day, a woodcutter came to the forest. He took a look at the trees and said, “These trees are lovely. I must cut them." As soon as he picked up his axe the trees became frightened.

‘Chop, Chop, Chop’ went the woodcutter’s axe and one by one the trees started to fall. “None of us is going to be spared," screamed one of the beautiful trees. Soon that tree too was brought to ground by the woodcutter’s axe.

By now, the woodcutter had come near to the ugly tree. He had just raised his axe when suddenly he noticed how crooked the ugly tree was. “Hmm! This crooked tree seems to be useless for me. I cannot make long straight logs of this ugly tree," he thought. And he moved towards another beautiful tree. The ugly tree heaved a huge sigh of relief. He realized that by making him ugly, God had actually given him a boon.

From that day the ugly tree never complained. He was happy with his crooked branches. He never forgot how he was spared from t he woodcutter’s axe, only because he was crooked and ugly.

Birds:

A little bluebird was born in the nest of a big tree. He grew fast. “Why don’t you go and learn how to fly with your brother and sister? Don’t you wonder what is out there?” his mother asked. “Oh, yes! But I am a little bit afraid,” the little blue bird answered. So while the other birds tested their wings, the little blue bird sat in the nest, watching.

At night, he could not sleep, imagining what might be out there beyond the trees. “Mama, Mama, what is out there?” he asked. “Nothing!” she said, “Now go to sleep!” Nothing? He wondered. And he could not stop thinking about it.

The next morning, the little blue bird was gone, and everyone wondered what had happened. “Nothing, nothing, where is this nothing!” the little blue bird thought as he walked away from his nest to the big tree. “Is nothing high, or is nothing low? Is nothing here, or is nothing there? What does nothing look like!” There was no one to ask so he kept ongoing.

He came upon a pool of blue water. It looked like nothing he had ever seen before, but he didn’t know if this was the nothing he was looking for. “What are you looking for?” someone asked him. “Nothing!” he answered, surprised. “Oh! Come with me,” said the green bird. And the bluebird joined him.

Suddenly, a flock of colorful birds came flying by. “What are you looking for?” they asked. “Nothing!” the green bird answered. “Oh, come with us,” they called. And the green bird spread his wings and flew up. And the little blue bird forgot that he was afraid of flying. He, too, spread his wings and flew up to join them. They flew high, and they flew low. They flew here and they flew there. “How wonderful it is to fly,”

“Where have you been? what have you seen?” asked his brother and sister when the bluebird came back home. “What happened to make you fly so well?” asked his mother. “Nothing!” said the bluebird happily fluttering his wings.”Tell us, tell us about it,” said his brother and sister.

“Come with me!” said the bluebird. And they flew high, and they flew low. They flew here and they flew there. They flew everywhere altogether
