Raman tried to push Laxman away and to save the children. Suddenly a woman came around the corner. Raman on noticing the woman screamed to her to go get help. Laxman was still restraining Raman from jumping to the lake. The woman ran away and returned after a few minutes with the entire village. Being a good strong swimmer, Raman was able to reach the children and save them just in the nick of time. After the children came out from shock, Raman asked them their whereabouts and helped them reach their house safely. The children said that they had been sailing when their boat overturned.
