Once there were two grammatical concepts had a argument as to who was more important than the other out of the two. The subject was of very calm nature. He calmly said to the verb, “Look verb, both of us are equally important; but you must follow me. If you don’t there could be a mistake.”
The verb became asked, “How could that be?”
The subject further explained, “Look, if you don’t inflect according to my singularity and plurality, there could be a mistake in the entire sentence. For example, if I am singular and you remain plural, there would be problem; similarly if I am plural, and you remain singular, then there could also be a problem.”
The verb said, “Oh! Now I see. We must be in agreement if we have to be flawless.”
The subject smilingly said, “Yes, now you get it. I am so happy.”
