whisper in the night

pooja is a eight year old girl who lives with her parents in a small town. she went to school in the same town . both of her parents we working so sometimes she would be alone in her home . pooja hated being alone not because she enjoyed attention but she was scared of the dark . her parents would reach home late and that too at night .

one night after dinner pooja went to bed . she said goodnight to everyone and went to bed . as she lay in bed trying to fall asleep . at the middle of the night pooja woke up hearing strange noises. she could here something rattling outside the window. she heard whispers in her bedroom . she thought she was imagining things . an eerie chill crept up her back . she became scared more and more .

she was too afraid to call out to her parents who were downstairs. she hid under her bed sheets too scared. she closed her eyes and wished the noises would go away . then she couldn't help it . she ran to her parents bedroom . her parents woke up and asked her what happened. pooja told them about the strange noises. her parents went to her room and took a look around .

they smiled at her and told her that there was nothing to be worried about. when pooja asked them they replied that the strange noises was made by a tree branch outside the window and the wind . pooja was releaved to know that it was nothing . finally she could sleep peacefully without getting scared . she was not afraid of the dark anymore .
