The Proud Lion

Once upon a time, there lived a lion in a jungle. He went to have his lunch. He killed a deer and ate it. He was tired and after having his lunch, he got asleep. When he was sleeping, a mouse came there. He climbed up the lion's body and began jumping. He started doing up and down from the lion's body.

The lion woke up and he got angry. He got disturbed by the mouse. He tried to kill the mouse many times. He tried to place his paws on it. But he was unsuccessful. At last, he was successful by placing his paws on the mouse. The mouse got very scared and begged for mercy. But the lion disagreed. The mouse requested him to leave him. He promised that he will help the lion when in need. So, the lion laughed and agreed at last. He left the mouse. He thought that how can a mouse help the king of a jungle.

Some days later, when the lion was in search of food, he was roaming here and there. But he couldn't find a single animal roaming. Few hunters were there behind a tree hiding from the lion. They had placed a net to trap the lion. The lion finally got trapped in the net.

He cried for help. Few animals roaming nearby didn't come for help. They were scared that if they would release the lion, he will kill them. They all went away. The mouse who got released by the lion saw him trapped in the net. He came to the lion to help him. He cut the net and released the lion. The lion thanked him. The mouse said that if you do good to others, the others would too do good to you. And also, no animal is small or big.
