It has a weightage of twelve marks and hence it is important that the story is written as per the desired guideline.
During writing a story, the following points should be borne in mind-

1. Theme and plot of the story you are going to write.
2. Characters in the story (It is advisable not to take too many characters).
3. Point of conflict (problem, difficulty or differences).
4. Resolution (Giving a suitable end to the story).
5 Have dialogue (one or two) spoken directly by the characters to make your story better.

hey hello!! friend! :D

here's wt u wanted :-

so basically story writing or telling a story involves narrative skills, which are basically we studied in our earlier classes. story does not mean only short story but includes any narrative account for example a description of a visit to a place,an account of a narrow escape ,or an amusing or embarrasing incident.

======================================================
so wt are the ELEMENTS OF A GOOD STORY :-

first of all we need a plot that is an interesting story line.

second is some characters (characterization)

the third is the background - which maybe a school ,a home,a hospital, a shop,a factory,a farm,etc.

fourth is dialogue and language

and the fifth is when sometimes a particular mood or aim ,example a story may be humorous,sad,frightening or of educational value.

========================================================

MAKING A PLOT :-
1.most plots arise from some kind of a conflict.
2. three common sources of conflict are:
✪ conflict with another person. this may happen when two people quarrel ,when father and son argue ,when friends disagree (for example)
✪ conflict between a person and external conditions such as a storm, an angry bee,a snowfall,etc. such external troubles cause a problem.
✪ conflict within a person's mind. a person may be unusually sensitive ,mean,bad tempered,jealous,greedy,etc.

=======================================================
 CHARACTERIZATION :-

✪describe your character(s) strongly enough to enable your reader to visualize him/her/them easily.dont be vague. a long description is not necessary if you can find a few well-chosen words.
✪use significant details to make your characters stand out clearly.describe the most striking aspects of a person.
✪ make your characters realistic.
✪ differentiate between old and young people.
✪ differentiate between men and women.it make actually more realistic ( according to me )

=======================================================

ATMOSPHERE:-
✪ If possible you must set your action against a background which u know well and which will be interesting to ur reader.you may know quite a lot about the jungle,hotels,cooking,excursions,etc.a good writer works very hard to create a good atmosphere for his/her writing skills

hope u understood ^^"
