Presence of mind saves a life.
The story is about a sailor, who used to travel through the sea to transport goods. Once when he was travelling, a storm hit the water at night. With his mind asleep and least visibility during the storm, all he could manage was to find a wooden board for support to not drown.
With the struggle of almost four hours in the water, he was thrown on an island. In the comfort of sand, he slept again and woke up in the morning. He strolled through the island and found himself hungry and thirsty due to walking.
There were coconut trees on the island but he soon discovered he could not reach on the top. But he also saw monkeys on the tree, near coconut, who was staring back and imitating him.
He thought to try making them throw coconut. For this, he threw stones. Monkeys imitated him again, throwing coconuts at him. Thus, he got both food and drink. Hence, presence of mind saved his life.
