Strain energy stored in Simply Supported Beam in Uniformly distributed load condition is (W^2 * L^5) / 240 * EI.

1) For an expression of strain energy In SSB for UDL condition, we consider, the length of the beam to be L, weight per unit length is W, the elastic modulus is E and the moment of inertia is I.

2) Applying Maculay's method we get,

Mxx = EI ( d2y / dx2) = (WL/2 * x)-(Wx^2/2)

3) Putting this bending moment in strain energy equation,

U = integration from 0 to L (Mxx^2/ 2EI) dx = (W^2 * L^5) / 240 * EI
