stratification is ancient bcoz in olden times the human beings were divided into several castes and divisions such as shudras,vaishas,untouchables,,,,etc......and the last one which is untouchables were not allowed of drawing water from other castes wells and were not allowed in the town's they were forced to stay in forests thus this shows startification. Here now we can conclude that stratification is ancient.
