Spinosaurus did possess massive well muscled arms to help aid in hunting and killing larger animals. The arms were quite strong, capable of lifting just as weight with one arm as Tyrannosaurus lifting similar weights with it's jaws. Spinosaurids in general are likened to being “bodybuilders” of the theropods.
