These hollow box are usally made with wood . These hollow box consists sound holes and other parts inside . It is because of these hollow box the sound is melodious. The vibration from the string vibrates this hollow box making a beautiful and melodious sound. If u notice in electrical instruments there are no this type of hollow boxes it is because he are completely electrically tuned .
