Structure and function of biogas plant
Answers
Biogas Plant
1. A Biogas Plant is the plant which contain a big chamber in middle with two columns in both the sides.
2. Both the sides leaves a small gap which is covered with glass slabto prevent entrance of O2 (oxygen).
3. The domestic waste (specially cow dung) is dumped into inlet that passed through first column and reaches to the chamber.
4. In absence of oxygen, anaerobic degradation takes place that convert domestic waste into Biogas.
5. The Biogas stored is under high pressure that is used to draw out the gas through a pipe.
6. The remaining waste (slurry/high quality manure) reaches to the outlet which can be used in agricultural fields.
Advantages
- Biogas is a good fuels with high calorific value.
- Slurry produced is of high quality.
- Burning cow dung directly causes pollution.
- It also disables us from utilizing several useful compounds present in dung.
Structure of biogas plant.
They have fabricated with dome structure and they contain cow dung,House hold(vegetable wastes) etc .ever thry have mixed water to make slurry. But they dont get oxygen becoz it is sealted with big chamber.
Further Explanation:-
Multicellular organisms are made up of many cells and cells are functional and structural units of life.
India is an agricultural country and agriculture is the backbone of the rural economy. Livestock has an important place in the rural economy. We get large amounts of cow dung through animals.
In the scientific era , fuel , manure and light can be obtained by using cow dung in biogas plant. If we use cow dung to make condoms and burn, then we are deprived of free manure.
Here ,are few types of biogas plants:-
Two types of biogas plants are manufactured based on the method of collecting biogas.
• Floating drum, this is a type of biogas plant.
- (K. - VIC Biogas Plant)
- (Pragati Biogas Plant)
• Stationary dome, this is a type of biogas plant and they are fix drum type biogas plant.
- (Deenbandhu Biogas Plant)
- (Janata Biogas Plant)
