In the chlorenchyma cells the thickening of the outer surface or the corners is done through the deposition of the cellulose and the pectin.
It can be differentiated into two parts named as Palisade which have the columnar cells at the right angle to the upper leaf structure and the second is Spongy Chlorenchyma which have a sponge like structure and large surface area.
