Common ion effect :-

We can relate it like when in any solution the substance contain the ions of same catogery so they are said to be of common ion...

let me explain:-

suppose we have a solution of NaCl.. present in aqueous solution .

so when another strong acid or base is added to the solution having common ion so they get mingled and the concentration ceases ..

suppose we add NaOH

so Na get common ion and the reaction stops and suddenly stop to proceed...
