The heart is divided into four chambers consisting of two atria and two ventricles; the atria receives blood, while the ventricles pump blood. The right atrium receives blood from the superior and inferior vena cavas and the coronary sinus; blood then moves to the right ventricle where it is pumped to the lungs. The lungs re-oxygenate the blood and send it to the left atrium.

Structure of Heart

Heart :-

A hollow muscular organ that pumps the blood through the circulatory system.

Auricle or Atrium :-

Upper are receiving Chamber of the heart that pumps blood into the lower chamber.

Ventricle :-

Lower Chamber of the heart.

Aorta :-

Main artery that carries oxygenated blood to body organs.

Pulmonary Artery :-

Artery that carries de-oxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs.

Pulmonary Veins :-

Veins that carries oxygenated blood from to the heart.

Vena Cava :-

Main vein that carries de-oxygenated blood from all body organ to the heart.
