Given, Speed S1 = 25 km/h

Speed S2 = 4 km/h

Time = 5 hours 48 mins = 5 x 48/60 = 5 4/5 hours = 29/5 hours

Average speed = (2 x S1 x S1) / (S1 + S2)

= (2 x 25 x 4) / (25+4)

= 200/29 kmph

Distance = Speed x time

= 200/29 x 29/5

= 40 Km

Hence our distance is 40 km.
