Its caused by DEN-1-4 virus and transmitted by female Tiger !mosquito (Aedes aegypti)
Symptoms are headache, fever chill, pain in joints and skin rashes. More severe in adults.
Blood platelets no. fall below 70,000/mm^3.
Paracetamol with replenishment of blood platelets may be helpful.
