\sf\large\underline\purple{Let:-}

\sf{\implies Assume\:_{(as\:per\:the\: ratio)}=6\::\:11}

\sf{\implies First\:_{(group\:students)}=6x}

\sf{\implies Second\:_{(group\:students)}=11x}

\sf\large\underline\purple{Given:-}

\sf{\implies First\: group\:_{(No\:of\: students)}=870}

\sf{\implies Second\:group\:_{(No\:of\: students)}=11x}

\sf\large\underline\purple{To\: Find:-}

\sf{\implies Total\:_{(No\:of\: students\:in\: school)}=?}

\sf\large\underline\purple{Solution:-}

  • To calculate the total number of students which is divided in two groups ,at first we have to assume the ratio of number be x the calculate the value of X with the help of given clue in the question:]

\sf\large\underline\purple{Condition\: Applied:-}

\sf{\implies First\:_{(group\: students)}=870}

\tt{\implies 6x=870}

\tt{\implies x=145}

  • Now calculate the no of students in 2nd:-]

\sf{\implies Second\:_{(group\: students)}=11x}

\sf{\implies Second\:_{(group\: students)}=11*145}

\sf{\implies Second\:_{(group\: students)}=1595}

  • Now calculate total no of students in school:-]

\sf{\implies Total\:_{(students\:in\: school)}=1ST\:_{(group\: students)}+2ND\:_{(group\: students)}}

\sf{\implies Total\:_{(students\:in\: school)}=1595+870}

\sf{\implies Total\:_{(students\:in\: school)}=2465}

\sf\large{Hence,}

\sf{\implies Total\:_{(students\:in\: school)}=2465}

Given:

first group students=870

let

the ratio be x

so,

6x=870

x=145

therefore

total students in school=870+11×145=>870+1595=>2465
