Here is your answer !!

___________________________

<i>Let the total marks be x<i>

Marks obtained by Student A = 25% of x

Pass marks =

 \frac{25}{100} x \: + 30 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: (1)

Marks obtained by Student 2 = 60% of x

Pass marks =

 \frac{60}{100}x - 40 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: (2)

From ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) , We get

 \frac{25}{100}x \: + \: 30 = \: \frac{60}{100} x \: - \: 40 \\ \\ = > \frac{60}{100} x \: - \: \frac{25}{100} x \: = \: 30 \: + \: 40 \\ \\ = > \frac{35}{100} x \: = \: 70 \\ \\ = > x \: = \: 70 \: \times \: \frac{100}{35} \\ \\ = > x \: = \: 200 \: marks \\ \\ pass \: marks \: = \\ \\ \frac{25}{100} \: \times 200 \: + 30 \\ \\ = > 50 + 30 \\ \\ = > 70

ANS ) The passing mark is 70
