Given:

1 stone = 4 logs

1 brick = 10 logs

2 logs = 150 nails

Part A: Find the number of stones needed to trade 6 bricks:

1 brick = 10 logs

6 bricks = 10 x 6

6 bricks = 60 logs

4 logs = 1 stone

1 log = 1/4 stone

60 logs = 1/4 x 60

60 logs = 15 stones

Part B: Find the number of nails needed to trade 3 bricks:

1 brick = 10 logs

3 bricks = 10 x 3

3 bricks = 30 logs

2 logs = 150 nails

1 log = 150 ÷ 2

1 log = 75 mails

1 log = 75 nails

30 logs = 75 x 30

30 logs = 2250 nails
