Students in a school are often classified into primary and secondary or Junior and senior

Explanation:

The criterion that is used to classify students in a school into primary and secondary or Junior and senior are based on the level of the education.

Yes, I think it is a useful classification because we have to distinguish seniors and juniors according to their capability.

In primary education, the basic subjects like English, Maths, Language, Science and Social science is taught to the students.

In secondary education, the syllabus will be heavy because of many subjects and the seniors have to take more effort to learn.

Answer:

The criteria that is used in a school to classify the students into primary and secondary or junior or senior is on level of education.

Yes, I think this is a useful classification.

In primary classes , attention is paid towards developing learning skills and base knowledge of the students. Once the base is strong at the primary level, in the secondary level the difficulty levels of the subject increases and students are been introduced to new subjects. When they come to senior level, along with the subjects, skill development is also focused upon. Thus to develop the child in a phase manner, school are classified into different levels.
