= xy+x-2y-2 = xy

(x+3)(y-1) = xy
= xy-x+3y-3 = xy
= -x+3y= 3 (ii)

-x+3y= 3 + x-2y= 2
= y=5
Substitute y=5 in (i)
x= 12
Total no of students = xy
= 12 x 5 = 60 students
