Let the total number of students surveyed = x

Students who like blue = \frac{1}{4} of x  = \frac{1}{4} \times x

= \frac{x}{4}

Students who like red = \frac{1}{8} of x  = \frac{1}{8} \times x

= \frac{x}{8}

Remaining students who like green = \frac{3}{5}(x-\frac{x}{4} - \frac{x}{8})

= \frac{3}{5}(\frac{5x}{8})

= \frac{3x}{8}

15 students like green.

Therefore, \frac{3x}{8} = 15

x = \frac{15 \times 8}{3}

x = 40

Therefore, the total number of students who surveyed = 40.
