Study 3 John 9-10, and Philippians 2:3. Look up in a dictionary any words that you do not understand.

Type at least two paragraphs in which you contrast the attitude of Diotrephes with the attitude suggested by Paul to the Philippians (and to us). Use your own words.

John's third epistle is addressed to Gaius. He continues in this epistle the theme of 2 John: "the truth." John rejoiced at the news that Gaius was walking in the truth. He said that he had no greater joy than to hear that his children, those whom he had brought to Christ, walked in truth, or lived by the Word of God.

John warned against Diotrephes, who had refused to receive the messengers John had sent. John wrote in support of Demetrius, who may have carried his letter to Gaius from John in Ephesus.
