Present day coins are unique in relation to old coins since present day coins are comprised of stainless steel, then again, old coins were comprised of valuable metal like gold, silver, and copper.

In old coins, there were images of goddess Lakshmi, plants, and creatures yet current coins incorporate the logo of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and so on.

Present day coins are light in weight while the ancient coins were heavier in weight.
