Answer:

Hybridization is a process of interbreeding between two different species and the offsprings produced have characteristics of both the parents.

Examples of plants

Hybridization between mariposa lily and the elegant sego lily. The resulting plant is like mariposa lily with purple spotting (the purple color comes from elegant sego lily).

Examples of animals:

Mule  (Produced by the interbreeding process between a male donkey and a female horse. It is sterile and can't produce offsprings).

The study of hybridization was developed by Joseph Kolrueter.

(A) Hybrid species are formed by hybridization of two different species to form a better species from their parents by reproductive methods.

Different hybrid species are:

Lion + Tiger = 'Liger '

Male Donkey + Female horse = 'Mule '

Grizzly bear + polar bear = 'Grolar Bear '

Wolf + Dog = 'Wolfdog'

Male Camel + Female llama = 'Cama '

(B) A hybrid species can have the characteristics from both the parents.

For example: one red and other white flower can produce pink flowers while the hybrid species can have traits from only one parent.

C. Hybrid species can be the result of migration of animals 'from one place to another' or the common habitat of two species of similar kind. For example: Polar bear and grizzly bear have common habitat so they mate with 'each other' due to lack of partner in  own species or some other reason. The 'hybridization' can occur naturally or man-made. In 1717 Fairchild created its first hybrid plant.
