An ecosystem is defined as a combination of living and non living things which helps in the interaction of the organisms in the environment.

Explanation:

  • For example, if we consider a land ecosystem, the living things include the plants and animals while the abiotic components include the houses and buildings which are operated by human beings.
  • The living things will interact with the non living things and this communication is known as ecosystem.
