You may study the ethnic composition of any of the North Eastern state in India, say for example Nagaland, which comprises of many tribes and sub tribes.
Christianity is the pre dominant religion in Nagaland. There is a considerable population of people practising Hinduism and Islam.
Each of the Naga tribe has distinct culture, tradition and rituals.
The state is also characterised by ethnic conflict,particularly between the Nagas and Kukis tribe which has been more of a fight for their identity and over the distribution of land.
