i)The current flowing in the circuit and
ii)The current flowing in the 10 ohm resistor,if the battery supplies the potential difference of 10V and the value of resistances are R1=10 ohm,R2=20 ohm,R3=30 ohm respectively connected in parallel.

Answer:
(i) 1.5 Amperes
(ii) 4.5 Amperes
Explanation:
R1=10Ω
R2=20Ω
for parallel connection of resistors, equivalent resistance is given by
R(eq)=1/(1/R1+1/R2)
=>R(eq)=1/(1/10+1/20)=20/3Ω
EMF of the cell = 10V
V=iR..........................(OHM's LAW)
=>i=V/R
=>i=10/(20/3)=1.5 A
This is the current in the circuit.
Now, current in parallel combination of resistor, divides in inverse ratio of resistance in that part to equivalent resistance times the current in the whole circuit, so
current in 10Ω resistor is (20/(20/3))*1.5 A= 4.5 A
