Box C is exactly placed between H and the box which is immediately above B.
- Box E is two places below Box A and four places above Box B. Hence there is one box between A and E and 3 boxes between E and B and therefore a total of 7 boxes between A and B including both.
- Hence either A is the first or second box as there are only 8 spaces.
- _ A _ E_ _ _B is the combination. As Box C and Box G are equidistant from start and end, they can only be at positions 3 and 6.
- Let C be at 3 and G at 6, this makes the combination _ A G E _ C _ B.
- As there is only one box between G and D, D can be either at 1 or 5.
- D can not be at 5 as C is at 6, hence D is at 1. This makes the combination D A G E _ C _ B.
- As H is above F, the combination will be D A G E H C F B.
- The box above B is F, and the box between H and F is C.
