according to law of conservation of energy :it states that energy never be created never be distroyed but it can be converted into different form.
For example when a car engine starts its heat energy(produced due to cumbustion of fuel) is converted into mechanical energy (rolling of axle which rolls the set of wheel)

saurabh392: making of electricity=usually large amount of coal is burnt to produce heat (thermal energy ) which is used to boil water to produce sream which turns big generators to produce electrical energy. It is an example of conversion of thermal to electrical energy.
