Answer

a) OA and BC

b)

For OA a= 10m/ s^{2}

For BC a= 5m/ s^{2}

c) AB

Solution:

a) The figure attached shows the velocity- time graph.

Part OA and BC shows the accelerated part of the graph because the velocity is increasing with increase in time.

Part CD shows decelerated part of graph because acceleration is decreasing with increasing time.

b)

acceleration =  \frac{v_{f} - v_{i}}{ t_{f} - t_{i}}

For OA

a= \frac{30-0}{3-0}

a=10 m/ s^{2}

For BC

a= \frac{40-30}{7-5}

a=5 m/ s^{2}

c)

Part AB shows zero acceleration because velocity in this part is same and acceleration is nothing but rate of change of velocity

OA and BC shows the accelerated motion
b) OA =>
a= v-u / t
= 30 /3
= 10 m/s^2
BC =>
a= v-u /t time =>( 7 -5 = 2 )
= 10 / 2
= 5 m/s^2

AB shows zero accelaration
