Answer:

acceleration of the object from

i) t = 0 to t = 2

a = 3m/s/s

ii) t = 2s to t = 10s

a = 0

iii) t = 10s  to t = 12s

a = -3 m/s/s

displacement of the object from t = 0 to t = 10s is 54 m

Explanation:

As we know that acceleration is rate of change in velocity

So we have

a = \frac{dv}{dt}

so here from v-t graph we will have slope of the graph is acceleration of the object

i) from t = 0 to t = 2

acceleration = \frac{6 - 0}{2 - 0}

a = 3 m/s^2

ii) from t = 2 to t = 10

acceleration = 0 (as slope is zero)

iii) from t = 10 to t = 12

acceleration = slope

a = \frac{0 - 6}{12 - 10}

a = - 3 m/s^2

Now for displacement of object we know

\Delta x = \int vdt = Area under v - t curve

so we have

\Delta x = \frac{1}{2}(2)6 + (10 - 2)6

\Delta x = 54 m
