multiple the equation 1 with 3

multiple the equation 2with 2

we get

6x+9y=27

6x+8y=10

eliminate the equation

x term Will cancel

y= 17

sub y=17 in equation 1

2x+3(17) =9

2x+51=9

2x=-42

x=-21
