Perimeter is the distance around a figure. To find the perimeter of a figure, add the lengths of the sides. The expression ft² means “square feet.” Area is found by multiplying two dimensions, length and width.

Area :
The space or region occupied by a closed figure.
Perimeter :
The distance around a closed figure.

the perimeter is the length of the out line of a shape. to find the perimeter of a rectangle or square you have to add the lengths of all the 4 sides .the word perimeter means the path that surrounds an area . we can find the area of some quadrilaterals by using some formulae that is if it a square s×s and if it is rectangle l×b like that we can find the area and perimeter of quadrilaterals

I hope it helps you:)
